Meet the teachers

Your retreat leaders, Kari Harendorf and Tiger Bye, are the co-founders of Better Yoga.

  • Kari Harendorf is an Ayurvedic Practitioner, a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist and an E_RYT 500 Yoga Educator, and Reiki Master.

A teacher of teachers, Kari was on faculty for the 200-hour and 1000-hour Teacher Trainings at The Kripalu Schools of Yoga, Ayurveda, and Yoga Therapy. She was also a Master Trainer of Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy Program and spent over a decade leading anatomy and training in Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee’s 200-hour and 300-hour Teacher Trainings.

Kari is renowned for helping students and teachers achieve precise anatomical alignment, mitigate injuries, and end chronic pain cycles. She also helps people awaken the body’s innate intelligence and foster a sense of awareness and healing through yoga, nutrition, and holistic healthy living.

A co-founder of Better Yoga, she teaches two-way Livestream in the online studio weekly and has a YouTube channel for helpful yoga therapy and health practices.

  • Tiger Bye is a Katonah Yoga® teacher, Oxygen Advantage® Master Instructor, and holds an M.S. in Health and the Public Interest from Georgetown University. She is the co-founder of Better Yoga (betteryoga.net), a leading online yoga platform where yoga, breathing, and Ayurvedic education converge, offering a transformative space for individuals seeking to move, breathe, and feel better. As a public health advocate, Tiger and her company have been featured in the Washington Post, Yoga Journal, CH2 Magazine, and more. Tiger specializes in enhancing breathing for yoga and fitness. She teaches breathing to aspiring yoga instructors during 200-hour teacher training programs and continuing education modules. She also works with clients and professionals to improve focus, stress levels, sleep, and corporate performance. Her impact extends to groups and companies, reshaping postural and breathing habits for elevated performance and genuine well-being. Tiger guides clients to recognize unconscious patterns, paving the way for the freedom that arises from pain-free alignment and functional breathing.
